A SunQuest tanning canopy has a few unique advantages over a tanning bed.
First is the cost, they are about 1/3 the cost of home tanning bed. Next

Sales Tax: sales tax is ONLY charged if you reside in the same state as our company headquarters - which is Washington State. All canopy orders are shipped to you directly from the manufacturers warehouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Shipping & Delivery Info:
Due
to the size and weight of SunQuest tanning canopies, all canopies are shipped with a
commercial freight trucking company. The approximate weight is 125 pounds. The
canopy is delivered in 1 box and is fully assembled. The shipping box dimensions
are 80" x 37" x 17". The trucking company will
call the customer (you) once they get to the closest trucking terminal to set up
the delivery time for the following day, or for another day if needed.
Deliveries are made only on business days, Monday thru Friday. If you wish, we
can arrange delivery to an address other than your home.
The trucking company
provides
"Tailgate Delivery" only, which means they will
bring the truck to your home and bring your package to the edge of the truck.
The box must be unloaded and moved indoors by the customer. (Note: This
"tailgate delivery" is used by ALL SunQuest canopy stores & distributors.) There is usually only 1 driver on
a delivery (and unfortunately unloading is not part of their job), so the customer should have 2
people to offload the box and bring it inside. In some cases, another person can
be added to the delivery truck for offloading, but this must be arranged
privately between the customer and the trucking company when they call you
before delivery.
Important Note: when providing your shipping information during the shopping cart checkout it will ask for your PHONE NUMBER, - remember the shipping company will call you at least 24 hours before delivery to schedule the delivery day and time, SO BE SURE TO PROVIDE A GOOD DAYTIME PHONE NUMBER, or at least a phone number that has voice mail service so they can leave a message. Be sure to also include your email address, - once the unit ships out SummerTan.com will email you the tracking information for your shipment.
*We cannot ship SunQuest tanning canopies to Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, or overseas.
DELIVERY HOURS: are generally "standard business hours". Although some delivery companies will delivery at special times, the official policy is that delivery should be scheduled during normal business hours (9:00 am to 5:00) pm. Again, they will contact you by telephone at least 24 hours prior to delivery to schedule the delivery day and time so you have advanced notice. As listed above, all tanning canopies are delivered with tailgate delivery so we advise you have two people available to unload the tanning canopy.

Order Processing & Delivery Times: Tanning Canopy orders are usually processed and shipped from the warehouse within 2-4 days on average (weekends excluded), depending on seasonal volume. Shipping and delivery to you then takes 1-6 days depending on your location - how far you are from the Indianapolis factory. - When your ordered is placed with us your purchase will be processed and your card charged on the day you place your order. Shipping of your order will then occur in 2-3 business days on average.
Safe Delivery Guarantee: our company (Saidel Websites & SummerTan.com) guarantees safe and undamaged delivery of your SunQuest tanning canopy. If there is any damage done to your canopy during shipping it will be promptly repaired or replaced. These units are very well built and are packaged very well, so it is very rare that damage would occur, but if it does we will take care of it.
Tanning Ability: if you can tan from the sun's UV rays you will absolutely tan from our tanning canopies and beds - a very logical fact. Unfortunately, a few (very, very few) customers who CANNOT tan at all - who have very 'fair' skin that never tans, may purchase a sunlamp/tanning canopy/tanning bed, expecting that they may tan from a sunlamp/tanning canopy/tanning bed as a desperate attempt to get a tan since they cannot tan from the sun's rays.....when in fact they are unable to tan at all due to their fair skin type. FACT: if you tan from the sun's UV rays, you will tan from our sunlamps, tanning canopies, and tanning beds.
Order Cancellation or Delivery Refusal: these are large items that are expensive to ship, so please be sure of your decision to purchase before placing your order. Orders that are cancelled or refused (change your mind and don't accept the delivery) are subject to a 20% restocking fee, and you must pay for the actual shipping fees to and from the warehouse. Once the canopy has left the warehouse (shipped out) the 20% restocking fee, plus actual shipping fees, will apply if you cancel the order or refuse delivery. If your order is placed with us and subsequently cancelled prior to shipping, a 5% order cancellation fee will be applied. These cancellation fees also apply to customers unwilling to accept/answer phone calls from the shipping company trying to deliver, which obviously makes their delivery impossible. If you have any questions on this subject, please give us a call. Customer accepts these terms upon placement of the order with our company.
Delivery Accessibility: the Canopies are delivered to you via large freight truck. Make sure you are providing a delivery address that is accessible by freight truck. For example, if you live on top of a steep hill, or have an very narrow driveway, you will have to take delivery at another location.
Return Policy: we cannot accept used units back into stock so there are no returns accepted. We remind you that all SunQuest tanning canopies come with a manufacturers warranty to cover you in the very rare event there are problems or defects with your canopy. These are high quality units with an excellent reputation in the tanning industry, but we only sell new units - therefore we cannot accept used units back. With the high expense of shipping, factory inspection & testing, replacing used bulbs with new, and reinstating the manufacturers warranty, it makes returns unfeasible.
Electrical Requirements for the
SunQuest 2000:
This canopy plugs into a
regular 110/120v outlet/receptacle. They come with a regular plug and plug into
a regular outlet. This canopy can be run off a standard (minimum) 15
amp circuit, but because the tanning canopies use a lot of amperage, don't run
other high energy things (washer, dryer, oven, etc.) at the same
time as the tanning canopy if these other appliances are running of the
same circuit.
What you need (these are all standard):
120 VOLT Dedicated Circuit
15 AMP Circuit Breaker
120 VOLT 15 AMP Receptacle
What is a "Dedicated Circuit"? - since tanning units consume a lot of amperage, and each circuit in your circuit breaker box can only provide so much amperage, the manufacturer suggest that you use the tanning canopy on a circuit that is not being used by anything else. Since most people don't have extra/unused circuits in their circuit boxes, the general rule of thumb is to check your circuit box and use a circuit that has at least 15 amps (generally 15 amp is the minimum in your circuit box), and then don't use other high energy things that are on this circuit while you are using your tanning canopy. Almost all circuits are at least 15 amps, so you can plug in your tanning canopy anywhere.
How do I know how many AMP's my outlets and circuits have? - Just check out your circuit breaker box and all the circuits will be labeled, plus there should be a corresponding schematic on the inside of the box door to tell you what circuits are powering which outlets, rooms, appliances.

How do I use a SunQuest tanning canopy? The ideal way to use the tanning canopy is either with a lounge chair or a lounge chaise that will fold out flat so you can tan your front and back. The canopy can also be raised to the vertical position and you can tan standing up. The white chair shown in one of the photo's above is not included. Since the canopy is height (and angle) adjustable, you can even lay on your bed and raise the canopy above you.
Payment Options: we accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and Amex) and debit cards. Due to the big price-tag of the tanning canopies and beds some customers wish to put the charge on two (or three) credit cards - We can do this, but you will need to place your order by telephone. We also accept checks and money orders. Money orders are preferred since we can process your order immediately upon receipt of your payment, while we have to wait 1 week for personal checks to clear.
Financing: we often get requests for this from our Tanning Canopy customers. We investigated this option and learned that it is much easier for a customer to request a credit line increase on their credit cards than to open a new credit account. Most companies who offer financing make it appear as they are doing in-house financing - just between you and them, but in reality a third party is almost always involved and you still have to provide all your personal data, social security number, employment info, etc. and you still have to have your credit history reviewed for approval. We do not offer this service, sorry.
How much does it cost to run my tanning canopy? - A tanning canopy on average costs about 20-30 cents per 30 minute tanning session.
How long do I use my canopy for? You should always start slowly, especially if you haven't had much sun (or tanning bed) exposure recently. Start with a 5-10 minute session the first few times. Then, gradually increase the time in subsequent tanning sessions to reach the desired level of tan you wish. Those who tan regularly and want a deep, dark tan can extend their canopy tanning sessions up to 30 minutes.
SunQuest models available: - The manufacturer no longer produces the SunQuest 1000 (there was little demand for this six bulb unit). The SunQuest 3000 was also discontinued several years ago due to the electrical issues for a 12 bulb unit (3000 required new home wiring by the customer).
The factory focuses now on the most popular 10 bulb SunQuest 2000 Tanning Canopy which is very popular. Quality solid constructed frame and base with high quality Wolff bulbs that last several years. The bulbs in the SunQuest 2000 (also called the 2000s - same model) use full length 71" inch bi-pin 100 watt Wolff bulbs. The bulbs are evenly spaced out from side to side so you get full side-to-side tanning coverage, plus there is a highly reflective plastic mirror behind the bulbs to reflect the tanning rays towards your body and ensure there is no tanning lines or streaking.
How long do the bulbs last?
- On average, they last about 1000 hours of use, a very long time! Bulbs are
easy to order and to change. Replacement bulbs are relatively inexpensive,
currently costing about $20 each, but again, the bulbs that come with your unit
will last several years.
What is the UVA & UVB output? - The Wolff bulbs for these canopies, like most other tanning bed bulbs, emit approx. 95% UVA and 5% UVB.
Protective Eyewear: You should always wear protective eyewear when tanning. Other distributors only include one pair, we give you THREE pairs. You should not share protective eyewear with others for sanitary reasons.
Assembly: Our SunQuest Canopies are delivered fully assembled and the bulbs are already installed.
Is there maintenance involved with my SunQuest canopy? - No, all you need to do at most is occasionally brush off the cooling fan that can accumulate a little dust and debris.
